Who We Are

We are the SDA Abuse Response training team. We are a group of professionals and lay people who are committed to addressing the problem of abuse in the Adventist Church. Our home base is located in the School of Social Work at Southern Adventist University. The team is made up of SAU faculty and staff members from several disciplines, pastors, and community church members. Our director is Dr. Rene’ Drumm, a social work professor who has done extensive research on the prevalence and impact of abuse in the Adventist Church. Our mission is to help the Church create a caring response to abuse through education andĀ support. We are pleased to present this first issue of our newsletter, Creating a Caring Response.
